On the 26th and 27th of September 2018, ECONOMICK project took part in the LIFE Platform Meeting on Climate change mitigation in energy intensive industries, held in Utrecht (The Netherlands). The meeting was hosted by LIFE OPTIMELT project (LIFE15 CCM/NL/000121), which is implemented by the companies BV Koninklijke Nederlandsche Glasfabriek Leerdam/Libbey and PRAXAIR EUROHOLDING S.L.
LCE was the partner in charge of representing ECONOMICK project.
The meeting included three main parts:
- Plenary sessions on the policy context, industry commitments, technological solutions;
- Working groups focusing on key issues of shared concern and possible synergies among the participating projects;
- Visit to two relevant projects near the platform meeting location.
This meeting was a good opportunity for ECONOMICK project to develop networking activities, in particular regarding the technical aspect of ceramic kilns in comparison to other industries, as well as regarding different applications of policies among various industrial sectors.
